Louis Kolbe House, 2204 Decatur

This five-bay center hall Folk Victorian was built in 1887 as a Sunday House for the Louis Kolbe family who founded the town of Spring Branch, TX.  In keeping with tradition, German immigrant farming families held homes in town where they could attend church, sell their produce downtown, pick up supplies, or participate in German festivities such as the Sangerfest, Maifest, and Turnvereins.
