2119 Kane

The Jacob and Emily Shoell House
This cottage was built in 1880 by Jacob Schoell, a carpenter who built several houses, including 811 Henderson.  His wife, Emily, a midwife mentioned in the 2203 Decatur description, was also the sister of Mary Coulter and Henrietta Armbruster of 2109 Kane.  The rear porch was enclosed in 1999 and the roofline ill-conceivably redesigned.
