2214 Decatur

This Folk Victorian center hall cottage was built by Fritz Proehl in about 1893 as a tenant house.  He was the proprietor of the Mechanics Exchange saloon on Washington Avenue, and in the 1890's he lived next door at 2212 Decatur.  2214 Decatur has always been rental property.
