2211 Kane

In 1904 Nora Clark and her husband W. A. Clark agreed to pay a builder $2250 to construct a 2-story house at 2211 Kane.  They lived there briefly and then in 1907 sold the house to James A. Feist, a blacksmith.  His wife died in 1913, and he remarried a younger woman in 1922.  He died in 1940, his second wife died in 1944, and title passed to her niece with compensation to the children of his first wife.  The niece lived in the house until about 1952.  Between 1924 and 1950 a fire severely damaged the second story, and the house was repaired as a 1-story house.
