615 Sabine

Two identical 2-story houses were built in about 1911 at 615 and 617 Sabine.  615 Sabine was purchased in 1946 by Frank Pospisil, who lived with his wife for many years at 1803 State St.  In 1966 they sold it to their daughter Libuse and her husband Eddie Kovar, who had been living in the house since the late 1940s.  They were still living there on April 11, 1989, when a fire in a vacant house at 609 Sabine spread to their house and destroyed it.
