2018 Lubbock

This Fourth Ward North cottage with Carpenter Gothic influences was probably built in the mid 1870's.  In 1881 it was purchased by Ferdinand Kohlmann, a lumber inspector for the H. & T. C. Ry.  He was only 39 when he died in 1882.  His widow and children continued to live in the house until about 1906.  Stonewall J. Paul, an opera house musician, lived here from 1908 until 1929.  2018 Lubbock is one of the few houses in the Sixth Ward that is relatively unchanged.
