1912 Kane

This altered Gulf Coast Colonial was built in about 1879 by James Openshaw, a machinist who later lived at 1920 Kane. It had several owners before it was purchased in 1940 by Rev. Lewis Quarles, who was the pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. He sold it to the church in 1943, and it was the church's parsonage until 1950.
